The ones who WAIT and the ones who ACT

In world history, every age has its beginning and its end. There is no case in which the contemporaries of the era felt or knew when its end was coming. The reason for this is that their way of thinking has evolved according to the requirements of the era and this has absorbed all their attention and thoughts.

When a person strives to stay on the crest of the wave, he puts all his efforts into this action, so he misses the events and signals that prompt this change. After the shifting event (I will use the name Black Swan, which Nasim Taleb gives as an unforeseen catastrophic event), 99.9% of people take a wait-and-see position hoping to revert to the old order.

The truth is that after a catastrophic event, there is never a return to the old order. Life changes irrevocably, and completely different from the rules known so far begin to apply. Those who wait will continue to do so until they realize that it's been a long time and it's almost impossible to catch up with the other people who acted during that time. Then the laggards give up the struggle and take the position of people living out the remainder of their life.

There are many examples of change and are occurring more and more frequently. As the intensity of life progresses, so does the speed of the Black Swans. We will look back to ancient times, beginning with prehistoric people. In those days, prehistoric people were few and hunted until they found agriculture one day. Hunters respected the hunting grounds of other groups and there were almost no clashes. The food they captured was enough for them in a relatively short time and did not tempt the other groups to steal.

All this changed on the day that agriculture was discovered and people began to organize themselves into larger groups. The better organized began to accumulate stocks and store large surpluses. They made better settlements for life and enjoyed more material goods. These people did not have well-built security facilities because they simply did not expect attacks from other people. The large surpluses, however, changed the familiar way of life, prompting poorer and more unscrupulous groups to start robbing those in need.

This was shocking to the robbed, but some believed that everything was temporary and waited for the good old days of quiet harvesting. However, the robbers felt satisfied with the loot and the easy way to get it right and decided to do it over and over again, drawing many other groups with them or giving them an example to do the same.

From here on, peace-loving producers had two paths ahead: either to change or to be enslaved. This is how the slave-owning society comes into being, enslaved were the people who waited. All this went on for many years, with the evolution of this system becoming the Roman Empire. For thousands of years the imperial order continued until Christianity emerged, which further encouraged and taught people that they could die, and should not continue to be slaves.

At that moment, the existing order had collapsed, with Christianity being described as a plague by the modern chroniclers of the existing order. Some have waited for the times to get better, while others have made a new capital of the Roman Empire, developing a new order, already based on Christianity. Those who remained in the old capital city of Rome and waited for the old times to return were destroyed, and those operating in a period of change founded the most powerful empire for the next 1,000 years.

This was followed by the development of a new religion, coupled with a powerful assimilationist policy (Islam and The Janissary), which acted as the atomic bomb (Ottoman Empire) in the then world and changed the entire order of humanity. Many choose to wait for the storm to end and the old order to return, while others decide to look for new avenues of development (because the current avenues were controlled by the Ottomans) and send ships into the nothingness. This is how the great empires were born - the Portuguese and the Spanish. There is no point in repeating that those who have waited have not lived to see the return of old times and experienced their lives as people safely arriving to death rather than living.

Years of domination of Spanish rule followed, until a daring captain - named Francis Drake - changed the way he fought naval war and thus succeeded in launching a global conquest of less- developed nations and the seizure of their wealth for the benefit of England. The people who waited awaited pointlessly for the rest of their lives the Spanish order and the Holy Inquisition.

Again, the people who acted in this situation came to the forefront.

A very interesting case for the waiting and acting is the story of the Rothschild brothers. Initially, they started their business as stakes of the Duke of Canaan Wilhelm. They gave money to people to whom he cannot take interest. They received a small commission for this service. This continued until the Napoleonic Wars. Napoleon took everything from William and ordered his debts to be paid to him in the future. All of Europe was blocked by his army and no one dared to take any action. As everyone stood and waited for the storm to pass, four of the Rothschild brothers set off with a double-decker carriage and collected all the money from Duke William. They did this for a large percentage of the money, and so they became very rich. While many people waited for the storm to pass, the Rothschild brothers acted. Subsequently, they set about transferring the gold of the East India Company to the Iberian Peninsula to the fighting Duke of Wellington. Napoleon's troops conquered the entire continent of Europe and did not allow anyone to make deliveries. No person or country hired to bring this gold and chose to wait for the turn of events. The Rothschild brothers again decide to act rather than wait. The youngest of them, Jacob, went to Paris and managed to convince the French authorities with a trick that they wanted to extract gold from England and thus make the country weaker. Napoleon helps them, but Police Minister Fouche doubts and begins to follow Jacob (who is called James). Despite this tension, gold was delivered to the Duke of Wellington and this aided the subsequent victory over Napoleon. The Rothschild brothers become fabulously wealthy, and the waiting ones take the path to mediocrity.

Much later is the story of Admond Hummer. Successful mid-level American entrepreneur who went into business in the communist USSR in the 1920s. Everyone has backed down on this country because of communism and the revolution. Everyone prefers to wait except Admond Hummer.

During these difficult, poor and troubled times, he helped to supply medicines, equipment and supplies in the USSR and accumulated fabulous wealth as well as enormous contacts. While everyone preferred to wait, he preferred to act.

The First World War rearranges the map of the world and rich people. Those who waited were thrown off board, while those who acted accumulated enormous wealth. The Second World War re-arranged the cards and only those who acted on time succeeded. In times of devastation and poverty, Americans are investing many billions to revive Europe and Japan, making them the masters of the world.

After the events of 1990, there were still two types of people in Bulgaria - acting and waiting. The years were murky, uncertain, transient, prompting the majority to wait and see what would happen. One group of people decided to act and today we see the result.

It is now an unprecedented time thanks to the global pandemic, which rearranges the world matrix and will again have two types of people - waiting and acting. Which kind of person you will be reading these lines is up to you. We have a plan, we are working hard on it and we welcome everyone who is active.
